Loan Officer


Job Description

Responsible for originating retail mortgage loans. Contact may be either telephonic, by mail, or in-person. Sells directly to customers or solicits customers indirectly through third parties such as builders/developers or realtors. Determines which loan product most closely meets the needs of the customer. Maintains contact with customers throughout and after loan process.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Position requires 2 years outside commission sales experience.
  • Real Estate Agent license required.
  • Proven sales and negotiation experience with the ability to meet production standards established by the region or branch.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills and to be able to communicate programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to customers and business associates.
  • PC skills including the ability to use database marketing.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the availability to assist customers on evenings and weekends.
